As a 1983 graduate of Bishop England High School, I have a deeply rooted love for this school. I also have four brothers and sisters who graduated from here; my mother was an alum as are countless nephews and nieces. My college education began at Winthrop University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Communications with a minor in History. I received a Master of Arts in Teaching from The Citadel with a concentration in Social Studies as well.
In addition to these degrees I have continued my education with additional courses at the College of Charleston and have been to several teaching conferences including one at the University of Notre Dame. In 2005, I was able to take a week trip to Rome, Italy, and also visited Assisi which gave me the wonderful opportunity to visit so many places that my Church History course touches on.
My teaching career has always been here at Bishop England. I began in 1995 and have taught both sophomores and juniors in the Theology department. I have taught Church History every year since I arrived at Bishop England.
Personally, I am a member of Blessed Sacrament church and have been a member of its perpetual adoration since 2001. My wife Jena and I have been married since 1990 and have three boys.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have served on the National Honor Society Faculty Council and the curriculum committee for several years. I have coached a number of sports here at Bishop England: basketball (11 years), softball (5 years), football (3 years) and since 2007, baseball. I have also been in charge of intramural football for male and female students for the past several years.
